There is no gift more valuable than time – come and volunteer with us
We are constantly looking for volunteers to support all our activities, not just the sailing.
Can’t sail, don’t want to sail? Providing a friendly face when people arrive, assisting people into buoyancy aids, pushing wheelchairs, helping to clean up or even keeping up that very British tradition of making a much appreciated cup of tea are tasks that suit those who want to come along and be part of Tideway but do not want to sail..

.
Help in our office
We also welcome assistance in running Tideway’s office, from management, logistical, fund raising and marketing through to the more operational roles of sailing support & maintenance.
Volunteer from as little as 2 hours up to as much time as you wish.

Sailing – Sailing activities are usually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays between 09.00 and 17.00 and Sundays between 09.00 and 16.30 – contact us for more information about our regular volunteer recruitment and induction days.
Experienced dinghy sailors are always welcomed, especially if you have RYA Level 2, if you have no experience but want to learn to sail whilst volunteering, we can help you gain some experience and signpost you how to achieve that goal too.
.
Help with maintenance - Without well-maintained equipment we cannot enjoy the sailing activities so why not come along to our Monday maintenance day and learn about boats, rigging and sails and help to maintain our boats, clubhouse and equipment.
Enjoy good company, rewarding activities and the fresh air.
Can’t spare time to volunteer? - Offer a donation – We are always keen to find individuals and business partners who cannot give time, but wish to offer a donation to help us run the charity, purchase boats and equipment.
Get in touch with us, we’d love to speak to you about getting involved with Tideway.
