Volunteers
Some of the skills we are looking for:·

Safety Boat Drivers

with RYA qualifications. We are also prepared to train people who show commitment to the club by becoming members and attend regularly

Sailing Support

RYA qualifications are a benefit but anyone comfortable in a sailing boat provides valuable support, as the ratios we have are often high.  We can train you to sail so that you can help others.

Boat Maintenance Support

Our boats are used regularly and therefore maintenance of our fleet is essential.

Marketing & Publicity

To improve our profile across London and the South East in businesses and the wider community. We are looking for people who could make Tideway known more widely to disabled people, their families and the sailing community.

Bidders (Grant Applications)

An active role in supporting the Commodore in the professional presentation of grant applications to a variety of providers and to proactively seek funding.

‘After 30 years of sailing I had a desire to offer something back to this sport. I stumbled across an advert in an Evening Standard (left on a Richmond to Waterloo train) in June 2004. I spent most Sundays either in an Access helping people onto the water but it was Lee-Anne that I particularly remember, the pleasure she showed from splashing every boat that we passed reminded me of the simple joys of being on the water. She always left her mark on my day.
