We were very proud when Melvin Kinnear from Tideway won the gold medal in the Access Liberty Servo Class.

We now have a person with a disability at Tideway who is a World Champion, his success will be fantastic inspiration and motivation for our other members.

For the last two years Tideway has been encouraging visually impaired (VI) people to sail. We have now established Tideway as a club where VI people can sail with experienced buddy sailors.

Members of our VI team helped scoop first prize in the sailability class of both the Medway Marathon & the Thames Regatta in 2010.

VI people with no experience can come to us for a taster day and if you enjoy sailing then you can join Tideway

A volunteer happily takes care of Guide dogs whilst you sail, taking them for a fantastic stroll through the nearby 35-acre Russia Dock Woodland.
