People
Members

With over 150 members we represent a cross section of society from homemakers to healers. Perhaps the best way to understand us is to introduce some of our members to you.

Management Team

A small team of directors support and guide the company which is a registered charity, looking at all aspects of running any small business, from finance, operations and technology through to human resourcing and marketing. Each director has a lead responsibility, ensuring that we are responsive to all our stakeholders' needs.

Volunteers

There is no more valuable gift than time. We are constantly looking for volunteers to support all our activities from financial management and marketing through to the more operational roles of sailing support, maintenance and even just providing a friendly face.

Some of the skills we are looking for:·

Safety Boat Drivers

with RYA qualifications. We are also prepared to train people who show commitment to the club by becoming members and attend regularly

Sailing Support

RYA qualifications are a benefit but anyone comfortable in a sailing boat provides valuable support, as the ratios we have are often high.  We can train you to sail so that you can help others.

Boat Maintenance Support

Our boats are used regularly and therefore maintenance of our fleet is essential.

Marketing & Publicity

To improve our profile across London and the South East in businesses and the wider community. We are looking for people who could make Tideway known more widely to disabled people, their families and the sailing community.

Bidders (Grant Applications)

An active role in supporting the Commodore in the professional presentation of grant applications to a variety of providers and to proactively seek funding.
